This event was held on the 27th November and attended by more parents than we have had in the past. The feedback on the interactive presentations, video clips, powerpoint etc in the hall prior to parents accessing classes has been super, thanks for your positive evaluations. Staff and pupils were delighted that so many parents went and visited across the school to see how the pupils had worked to create their sales items and the pupils were amazed at the support you gave them. The overall total raised for school funds by this event was £1196.66. Every class made profit from their businesses and Miss Mair’s P5/6M were the largest profit making company with a total of £204.62. Our appreciation and thanks go to all who supported and donated to the classes prior to the event, to the parents and family friends who came along and bought but in the main to the pupils and their hard work and effort in running the companies over the month.
As a result of the success we have booked a pantomime for the whole school, spending just under £300.00 of the monies raised for Thursday 10th December. The pupils will see Aladdin here in the school on that morning. We have also decided to go ahead and replace 37 cisterns and toilet seats across the school at a cost of just under £3000.00 by putting other savings in to cover the balance required. We hope this work will be undertaken in the early part of 2016.
