This term we are focusing on developing and consolidating strategies for addition and multiplication. We are also learning about data handling by using our previous knowledge of graphs and charts and applying this to new formats. We are also developing our knowledge of fractions. We are focusing on comparative report writing and persuasive techniques as well as consolidating our knowledge of grammar and punctuation through individual lessons and applying what we have learned in our writing. We also have started a class novel which we are using to develop our higher order reading skills. This term we are also learning new cooking skills through weekly lessons as well as learning about food hygiene and safety. Through a mini context based on the film Inside Out we are also learning about emotions and how to manage our emotions. In P.E we are learning about team work and are trying out ways to improve our fitness. Our context this term is about living things. We have been learning how and why things are classified and will learn about life cycles and food chains of living things too.
